Reporting Methods

  • Internet - access to Lombard Systems for claims reporting is available via Internet
    • Personal Lines brokers - click on Broker Login: Personal Lines (in the top blue portion)
    • Commercial Lines brokers - click on Links (at the bottom of the page)
    • For logon set up, please contact your local regional claims department
       
  • Fax - Claims reported by fax are transferred electronically to the assigning supervisor
  • Phone - Toll free 1 800 numbers direct to Regional Claims Office
  • Auto glass claims referred directly to and handled by the First Report Claims Services

First contact within 4 hours

  • First party auto losses
  • Accident benefit losses
  • Property losses

And... 24-hour contact will be applied to all other losses

Notification Advice

  • Broker claim confirmation report is mailed to the broker detailing claim particulars of losses reported on line
  • Broker acknowledgment letter is mailed the next day on all losses reported to advise the claim number and assigned adjuster details
  • Closing notice is mailed when a claim is closed, detailing payment issued on a claim.

After Hours Services

  • Provide claims service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • State of the art call centers staffed with Independent adjusters
  • Access to Lombard preferred vendors

After a claim is reported to Lombard

  • Claim handling procedures will be explained to the Insured during initial contact.
  • Insured claim acknowledgment letter with contact information and general instructions is mailed to the insured the same day(Personal Policies only).

Auto
Approved Repair Facilities - Estimates electronically dispatched to Lombard image desk from approved repair facility. Parts ordered, appointment set and rental arranged as per coverage.

Other Repair Facilities - We will evaluate the damage and come to an agreed value for the repair work. We encourage our customers to carefully review their choice prior to authorizing any repairs.

Property
Preferred contractors recommended for structure claims. Notice of loss mailed and replacement service assistance provided for larger contents and claims

Our vendors play an important roll in meeting expectations and demands of our policyholders.

Selection process ensures only the best repair facilities and contractors are recommended to our policyholders.

Regular and random reinspections of our vendors including their estimates, invoices and quality of work to ensure our high standards will be maintained.

Broker Draft Program
