A Lombard Claim Representative or Field Adjuster will be assigned depending on the claim type to handle the claim. They will contact you to obtain full particulars of the loss and after verification of your policy coverage they will refer you to one of our contractors (property losses) or auto repair shops (auto losses) for assessment of damages. If you prefer a repairer of your choice you may be asked for estimates.

Your adjuster will investigate the claim circumstances, evaluate your loss and discuss settlement with you. The claim settlement process will differ from one Region to another because regulation is by the Province and the adjuster will explain the local legislation governing the claim settlement. The time it takes to conclude a claim may also differ depending on the claim circumstances.
