Our claims service is available whenever you need us - 24 hours per day, 7 days a week through our toll-free claims number. In the event of a claim, we want you to know that you can expect a timely and comprehensive response from us. In addition to contact by our adjuster you will receive a letter from Lombard Canada shortly after filing your personal auto or personal property claim. This letter will provide you with all the information you require - a claim number, the name, telephone and fax numbers of your assigned adjuster and the guidelines to begin the process of remedying your situation. To ensure that we are meeting our commitment to our customers, we continuously monitor our claims service through a satisfaction survey. Lombard has preferred repair facilities across the country who meet our high standards for quality and service. Our Preferred Auto Repair Facilities provide electronic appraisal and photo-imaging for fast claims resolution. By transmitting estimates and photos electronically, Lombard can review and approve or, additionally inspect within 24 hours. The customer is always free to choose the repair shop. Should you choose a repair shop other than a Lombard Preferred Repair Facility, we will evaluate the damage to your vehicle and come to an agreed value for the repair work. As we cannot warranty work performed by repair shops other than Lombard Preferred Facilities, we encourage customers to carefully review their choice prior to authorizing any repairs. If a substitute vehicle is required, this can be arranged for at the repair facility ensuring availability and prompt delivery of a substitute vehicle. If you have rental vehicle coverage, Lombard will be billed directly for your rental car, which makes the process even easier and faster for you. |
