Account Executive / Senior Underwriter

Responsible for the underwriting and service of larger Developer accounts. Evaluates, selects, and establishes/negotiates proper pricing, security to ensure a profitable book of business within established underwriting guidelines. Identifies, investigates, and develops new business/expansion opportunities for assigned territory. Develops and maintains relationships with key Lombard developers.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate larger builder/developer requests for Tarion Bond and Deposit Insurance facilities; recommend security requirements and terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with builder/developer clients.
• Maintain strong working relationships with associate solicitors, cost consultants and lenders.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any changes in risk exposure.
• Manage multiple project accounts, ensuring proper administration.
• Monitor industry trends and developments, identifying areas of concern regarding loss ratios, risk trends, or other discrepancies.
• Maintain a current understanding of the policies, practices and bulletins of Tarion, as well as the guidelines of the Condominium Act.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of legal documentation requirements within lending community.
• Sound financial capabilities and ability to read budgets, cash flows and financial statements.
• Familiarity of Condominium industry, as well as Tarion and the Condominium Act in Ontario.
• Previous Commercial Lines Underwriting experience.
